Review: A Rainbow Above Us

A Rainbow Above Us A Rainbow Above Us by Sharon Sala
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Helluva welcome home.

Remind me never to make him angry.

This is his grandfather?

Poor guy, having to demo his childhood home.

Surely, they could have given Rowan a key to the nursing home door.

What if she had gotten hurt and needed an ambulance? Was her father planning on being within reach for the rest of her life?

He is really good at this shopping thing.

The sooner Judson is dead, the better for this whole family.

Ha! Meta.

So much craziness.

Attagirl, Ruby!

Good for you, Junior.

Review: Back to Eden: Christian Military Romance Suspense

Back to Eden: Christian Military Romance Suspense Back to Eden: Christian Military Romance Suspense by Rebecca Hartt
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The prologue is exciting.

Nice car for a SEAL.

It sounds like he was a douche.

I think something corrupt is going on with his CO.

She could stand to have a little more compassion. Why did she even marry him in the first place?

Shut it, Nina.

Jeez, he's worth more dead than alive!

I knew something was going on.

Oh, Santiago is good.

I want to be Charlotte when I grow up.

For the love of Pete, Miriam!

Slow your roll, Santiago.

Duh, people.

Good job, Lloyd!

That was a wonderful prayer.

Review: Puppy Love

Puppy Love Puppy Love by Lucy Gilmore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Yeesh, how scary is he?

"One small coma"? And he thinks a dog will help? How powerful is this dog?

No one needs that many channels, period.

Lila is a twat. She had this!

Aw, honey, a goiter?

He's an adorable puppy owner.

I wish I could have dessert first.

Yes, your sock-sweater is amazing. Good boy!

Beer choir?

Geez, some Thanksgiving at their house.

Oh, nicely played, honey.

The wooden spoons are also annoying. The ice cream slides off!

I love them. Even the sex is funny.

Gah, poor Minerva.

Holy mackerel.

Parents of the Year. Not.

Wow, that is one brave puppy. I had no idea dogs were so smart.

Review: It's Getting Scot in Here

It's Getting Scot in Here It's Getting Scot in Here by Suzanne Enoch
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This prologue is awesome. Their mother is great.

Well, they could have come to London sooner.

Ugh, does her mother even like her?

Where the heck are you, Coll?

Poor Eloise, haha! What an introduction to having brothers!

Oy, Turner should never reproduce.

Poor Coll! Welcome to London, indeed.

That really was brilliant.

Shut it, Coll.

My hero!

It's good to have pipers at your disposal.

Jane knows a double entendre when she hears one.

Old Sean and I could never be friends.

That was so hot.

Jane is improving her vocabulary. What the heck is a chaw bacon, anyway?

Oh, that was very clever of her. I could punch her mother for forcing this effeminate man on her.

So sneaky!

Jane would do for Coll.

I think she will be able to come back to London sooner than she thinks.

I'd like to see Rory in person.

The bishop has a nice little business going on here.

I bow down to you, Francesca.

At least her father has a brain.

Review: The Perfect Dress

The Perfect Dress The Perfect Dress by Carolyn Brown
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

That dress sounds very pretty, but not for a bride.

These girls are great. They actually have life skills.

I can't believe Jody became a vegan for this shmuck.

Wanda's bipolar.

How big is Paula that no one noticed she's six months pregnant?

Who knew you can clean a house wrong.

Gladys is just concerned about what to wear to her kid's hypothetical funeral, not that that kid is dead?

The child bride is making more sense to me now.

Every customer should be like Ellie Mae.

I feel the most sorry for Kayla in this situation.

He is so cute.

What the heck is FCCLA?

Quincy is actually nice.

Double standard, Darrin!

Jody's mother needs to get a life.

Whoa, Mitzi has balls of steel.

Spiders and cats, no way.

He needs to start bringing a Taser to work.

Walk away slowly, Quincy...

Haha, point, set, match goes to Tabby!

Hazel knows how to play her daddy like a fiddle.

I feel bad for both Jody and Quincy's childhood palates.

Drop dead, Clinton.

He brushed Mitzi's hair. That's damn sexy.

I want a Graham!

That's a big baby. Ouch!

Aw, "Mitzi Mama"!

Review: Shattered Vows

Shattered Vows Shattered Vows by Kaylea Cross
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

We already know what happens in the prologue from Noah's story.

Is it really necessary to finish this right now, Jase? You should be in bed. At least you haven't lost your sense of humor.

His grandpa must have been very important to him.

The gun salutes are always mystifying to me.

Carter's parents are horrible.

She didn't get the guy's name?

The lackey needs money. Ironic.

Man, the funeral was practically a party compared to this wake.

I don't know that I would have wanted pictures of Carter after the injury.

So creepy and disturbing.

Heehee, Mrs. Wong is fun even when she's hurt!

What is running away going to accomplish?

She can't expect him to wait around, hoping for crumbs.

Aw, poor Ella learned a hard lesson. I hope she can trust men later on.

Janet's a moron.

Dammit. Jase survived war. He gets shot on home soil? That sucks.

Irony is real, Rafe.

Best present ever.

Aw, Carter is definitely watching.

Glad her mom and grandma go their heads out of their butts.

Review: Colorado Cowboy: Includes a bonus novella

Colorado Cowboy: Includes a bonus novella Colorado Cowboy: Includes a bonus novella by Sara Richardson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Great opening line.

She's kind of cynical.

Ew. Pretty sure kids still look like kids. How drunk is this guy?

I could have told her she'd end up taking care of Bodie.

It's not a false accusation if there are pictures of her sister committing a robbery.

Haha, poor Vera!

Yikes, triplets. People have trouble with one baby at a time.

Jett could stand to use some male attention

Sheesh, Gracie, being a good person is more important than riding lessons.

I actually like Charity's mom.

It's not Dev's fault that Melody was an accomplice!

I love the family unit they have built.
